Accounts Payable Officer

• $40 - $45 per hour + super | Sydney CBD - Hybrid with 2 days WFH
• Initial temporary assignment with strong potential for extension and permanency

Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and review payment runs, ensuring correct coding and approvals
• Maintain vendor records, new supplier setups and account details
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and invoice queries
• Support EFT payments, reconciliations and vendor verification processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements and company policies
• Contribute to process improvements and provide broader support to the finance team as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Strong problem-solving capability
