EL1 Project Manager – ICT Transformation

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL1 ICT Project Manager for a long-term Federal Government contract based in Adelaide. The role will support the delivery of complex ICT transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on enterprise systems implementation, project governance and vendor management.

This is an excellent opportunity for accomplished Project Managers with significant experience delivering complex ICT systems and enterprise platform implementations across business, technology and vendor environments.

The Role

Working across complex transformation initiatives, you will take responsibility for project planning and delivery while coordinating technical, business, procurement and vendor stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and managing detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and dependencies
• Managing delivery across business, technology and vendor workstreams
• Ensuring project deliverables are achieved within agreed timeframes and budgets
• Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and benefits
• Supporting project governance and providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders
• Coordinating complex system implementation activities including integration, data migration, testing and operational readiness
• Managing vendor deliverables, contracts, Statements of Work and acceptance criteria
• Preparing business cases, project plans, executive briefs, reports and other corporate documentation
• Managing project budgets, expenditure, procurement and contract activities
• Supporting transition and implementation into operational environments

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• 5 to 8 years' experience managing technical ICT system delivery projects
• Demonstrated experience delivering major COTS or enterprise platform implementations
• Strong project planning, critical path, milestone and dependency management experience
• Experience across integration, data migration, testing, deployment and operational readiness
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management skills
• Experience managing technology vendors and commercial delivery commitments
• Experience working within Federal or State Government environments
• Strong knowledge of contemporary project management and governance frameworks
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry-recognised project management qualification 

Experience within claims, insurance, compensation or case management environments will be highly regarded, as will experience with Agile/product delivery models and qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.

Candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-engagement checks and must have the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance. Australian citizenship is sought as part of the eligibility requirements.
