DRY Equipment Operator - Costco Depot

Job Duties/Essential Functions

• Operates a clamp, slip-sheet, or fork sit-down lift truck to unload trailers and palletise floor-loaded merchandise
• Transfers pallets of received merchandise to shipping lanes set up by the warehouse or to other areas of the depot
• Transfer empty pallet stacks within the depot. Clean the area daily.
• RF Scan & Operates Baler Machine
• Operates electric pallet jack to move pallets of received merchandise to shipping lanes or to other areas of the depot
• Wraps and unwraps pallets
• Sorting the pallets and labelling as required (some heavy lifting involved)
• Unloading of floor-loaded containers (some heavy lifting involved)
• Follows proper receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards
• Counts and logs incoming and outgoing pallets. Loading and unloading trailers of pallets
• General upkeep of depot and grounds
• Able to work in a team and can work with minimum supervision
• Must maintain a high level of facility safety, security, and cleanliness
• Assists in other areas when required
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
• Must have ambient warehousing experience and be physically fit
• Must be versatile and keen to work in both Ambient & Chiller and in different departments as per business needs.

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery

• Forklift, EPJ, Computer, printer, phone, calculator, handheld two-way radio.

Non-Essential functions

• Assists in other departments where necessary.

Qualifications 

• Education/Training: Higher School Certificate preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Must have a Forklift Licence 
• Knowledge/Skills: Basic Computer Skills. Strong Knowledge of  Work Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
• Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills at all levels
