As part of its ongoing staffing requirements, MBCD Group Pty Ltd T/A Tess Nails & Beauty Spa; OASIS for Hair is seeking suitable candidates for the positions of Retail/Salon Manager, Hairdresser, and Beauty Therapist across its Warren, NSW and Canberra, ACT venues.

Key Responsibilities of Retail/Salon Manager:

• Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the salon.
• Supervising, coordinating, and supporting salon staff to ensure efficient workflow and high service standards.
• Preparing staff rosters, allocating duties, and coordinating appointments and client bookings.
• Handling customer enquiries, feedback, complaints, and service-related matters professionally.
• Managing salon retail activities, including product displays, stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
• Monitoring stock usage and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support uninterrupted salon operations.
• Assisting with recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of salon employees.
• Coordinating promotional activities, customer retention initiatives, and retail sales activities where required.
• Maintaining customer records, appointment information, sales records, and relevant business documentation.
• Monitoring cash handling, point-of-sale transactions, daily takings, and retail transactions.
• Liaising with suppliers and service providers as required.
• Assisting with budgeting, operational planning, and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Hairdresser:

• Consulting with clients to understand their desired hairstyle, colour, treatment, and overall haircare requirements.
• Assessing clients' hair condition and recommending suitable haircuts, styles, colours, and treatments.
• Cutting, trimming, shaping, and styling men's, women's, and children's hair.
• Performing blow-drying, straightening, curling, and other hair styling techniques.
• Performing hair colouring services, including colouring, foiling, highlights, and related colour treatments.
• Preparing and applying hair colour products in accordance with manufacturer and salon procedures.
• Providing hair treatments to improve hair condition and appearance.
• Washing, conditioning, drying, and preparing clients' hair for cutting and styling.
• Recommending appropriate haircare products and explaining their correct use to customers.
• Cleaning and sanitising hairdressing tools and equipment in accordance with hygiene procedures.
• Ensuring safe handling, storage, and use of hairdressing chemicals and products.
• Maintaining accurate client service and appointment information where required.
• Managing appointment times efficiently and ensuring services are completed within scheduled timeframes.
• Following workplace health and safety, hygiene, and salon procedures at all times.

Key Responsibilities of Beauty Therapist:

• Consulting with clients to identify their beauty, nail, and personal care requirements.
• Assessing clients' needs and recommending appropriate beauty treatments and services.
• Providing professional manicure and pedicure services.
• Preparing nails and performing nail shaping, filing, buffing, and finishing services.
• Applying nail polish, gel products, and other nail enhancements where appropriately trained.
• Removing existing nail products safely and preparing nails for subsequent treatments.
• Providing other beauty and personal care treatments offered by the salon according to training and competency.
• Preparing clients and treatment areas before commencing services.
• Following infection-control, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and salon procedures.
• Providing advice to customers regarding appropriate aftercare and maintenance of treatments.
• Recommending suitable beauty and nail care products based on clients' requirements.

Candidate must have:

• 1-2 years previous experience on related fields.
• Be able to work within a team to continue to meet the high standards expected excellent communicate.
• Relevant qualification of industry skills or proven experience
• Strong management and planning skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
