Job description
Role Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Cost Control Specialist to join a high-performing projects team. This role will see you working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to drive cost performance across a portfolio of projects, providing accurate forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and commercial insights to support successful project delivery.

Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Project Controls, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in Cost Control, Project Accounting, or Project Controls within an Owner's Team, Mining, Infrastructure, or EPCM environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex project data
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with project cost management systems and financial reporting processes
- Exposure to SAP and CMS highly regarded
- Power BI and Power Query experience considered advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain project cost forecasts, reports, variance analysis, and risk assessments
- Support project and portfolio decision-making through detailed financial analysis
- Manage funding appropriations and cost tracking within SAP
- Collaborate with Project Delivery, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure accurate project cost management
- Maintain project cost databases, contract pricing schedules, and financial records
- Support project controls governance, reporting standards, and data integrity requirements
- Coordinate change management activities, including budget revisions and forecast updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control processes and reporting frameworks
