ABOUT THE ROLE Space Dance and Art Academy is seeking versatile, highly skilled, and passionate dance teachers to join our team. We are looking for talented instructors who can teach and inspire students across a wide range of styles—from classical Indian art forms to high-energy contemporary, folk, and fitness dance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging, high-quality classes in specialized styles: Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Kerala Contemporary, Folk Dance, Bollywood, and Zumba.
- Design structured training programs tailored for beginners through to advanced performers.
- Choreograph original dance routines for stage showcases, cultural events, and academy recitals.
- Lead high-energy fitness dance sessions (Zumba) alongside traditional technique training.
- Mentor students in rhythm (Talam), expression (Abhinaya), posture, and performance confidence.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Demonstrated mastery and practical teaching experience in classical, contemporary, folk, or fitness dance disciplines.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., Zumba certification where applicable) are advantageous.
- Excellent instructional and communication skills to effectively teach diverse age groups.
- Strong choreography, stage presence, and passion for dance education.
