More than 2.7 million people across New South Wales rely on us every day for the supply of safe and reliable power to their homes and businesses. We employ more than 1,700 people across our catchment, making us one of the largest employers in Sydney’s Greater West.
To work with us in this role, you don’t need to have any energy experience. We need talented people who are ready for challenge and growth and value a sense of care and belonging. Why? Because our vision is to lead the way with smarter energy solutions. Play your part in helping us to put the customer first and transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future for us all.
About the role
As our Project Scheduler, you’ll play an important role in strengthening how projects and programs are planned, monitored and delivered across Endeavour Energy.
You’ll develop and maintain detailed, integrated schedules covering milestones, dependencies, resources and constraints, while maintaining the enterprise Master Schedule to provide a portfolio-wide view of delivery performance.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail while also seeing the bigger picture. You’ll work closely with project and program managers to identify scheduling risks, challenge assumptions and provide insights that support better resource and delivery decisions.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve enterprise scheduling templates, standards and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain integrated project and program schedules incorporating logic, dependencies, milestones and resource forecasts.
- Maintain the enterprise Master Schedule, consolidating schedules to provide visibility of portfolio performance and critical path impacts.
- Review schedule impacts arising from resource constraints, milestone slippage, scope changes and contract extensions of time.
- Develop and administer resource-loaded schedules to support accurate demand forecasting and enterprise resource planning.
- Analyse schedule performance, risks, issues and dependencies, providing clear insights for project, program and portfolio decision-making.
- Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc expenditure, resource and delivery reports for governance forums, leaders and project teams.
- Work with project and program managers to challenge and test proposed schedules against standards, typical durations, dependencies and resource requirements.
- Coach and support project and program managers in scheduling practices, systems and schedule management disciplines.
- Help improve scheduling maturity across the project community through consistent standards, guidance and knowledge sharing.
About you
You’re a structured and analytical professional who enjoys turning complex project information into practical plans and meaningful insights.
Comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholder groups, you can balance competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Importantly, you can constructively challenge schedules and assumptions, communicate the implications and help teams find a way forward.
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction or management.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar professional role, ideally within construction, energy/electrical, telecommunications, utilities or another project-based environment.
- Strong project planning, scheduling and organisational capability.
- The ability to develop and manage detailed schedules, dependencies, milestones and resource requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify scheduling risks and understand their broader delivery impacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to influence, negotiate and build agreement with stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and adapt as project circumstances change.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate project and scheduling information.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Competency in, or the ability to quickly learn, scheduling systems and tools such as Microsoft Project (MSP) and TPG-PPP.
A Diploma in Project Management, or equivalent relevant experience, is desirable.
If you enjoy working at the intersection of planning, analysis and project delivery, this is an opportunity to use your scheduling expertise to influence decisions across a diverse portfolio of projects and programs.
