Join a large South Australian public sector organisation delivering a significant technology transformation program. The program is transitioning critical business functions and data from legacy mainframe applications to modern, supported digital platforms.
Your new role:
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will support complex system replacement, data migration and integration initiatives. Working closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical teams, your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing legacy applications, business processes, reports and data
- Gathering, documenting and validating business and technical requirements
- Developing process maps, functional specifications, use cases and user stories
- Preparing current-state and future-state system and interface mappings
- Supporting data migration planning, validation and reporting requirements
- Facilitating stakeholder workshops, interviews and focus groups
- Assisting with technical design, application build and system integration
- Supporting testing activities, including UAT planning and execution
- Contributing to change impact assessments and transition planning
What youll need to succeed:
- At least two years recent experience in a similar Technical Business Analyst position
- Experience supporting large-scale IT transformation or system modernisation projects
- Strong business process mapping, data modelling and requirements-gathering skills
- Experience with legacy system analysis, data migration and reporting
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a complex environment
- Knowledge of business analysis frameworks such as BABOK or Agile BA
- Government, justice-sector or highly regulated environment experience will be highly regarded
- Business Analysis qualifications or a related discipline are desirable
