About the role  

This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the performance, safety, compliance and continuous improvement of RACQ's Auto and Glass business. You'll lead multiple branches, develop workforce capability, drive customer and commercial outcomes, and help shape the future direction of the business. 

This is a hands-on leadership role with regular travel across the network, spending approximately 3-4 days per week on the road visiting branches, supporting teams and engaging with stakeholders. A vehicle allowance is provided. 

• Lead operational performance across the Auto and Glass Network, driving customer satisfaction, safety outcomes and profitability. 
• Coach, develop and support Branch Managers to build leadership capability, strengthen workforce performance and foster engaged, high-performing teams. 
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment and succession activities to ensure the business is positioned for future growth. 
• Resolve complex customer escalations, operational challenges and supply chain issues, developing sustainable solutions that improve service delivery and business outcomes. 
• Drive strategic projects, growth initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities, including vendor management, ADAS services and revenue growth. 

About you   

You are an experienced operational leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a passion for people leadership, safety and customer excellence. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy being visible in the business, and have a proven ability to drive performance while building a positive and engaged team culture. 

• Demonstrated experience leading multi-site teams within the automotive, auto glass, field service or related operational environment. 
• Proven ability to coach and develop leaders, build workforce capability and drive high-performing teams. 
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety, compliance, incident investigation and risk management practices. 
• Experience in workforce planning, recruitment, change management and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Strong commercial, problem-solving and decision-making capability, with experience improving operational performance and business outcomes. 
• Current driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly across Queensland branches, spending 3-4 days per week on the road. Relevant industry qualifications or certifications will be highly regarded.
