Salary: $80,000 – $85,000
At Hertz Newman, we hire vehicles out to individuals and businesses (majority in mining) on both long-term and short-term hire. We are responsible for maintaining a large fleet of vehicles to Hertz Australia's standards and distributing the vehicles to customers for private and company use. We are looking for a responsible car detailer who will adhere to provide quality automotive cleaning and detailing services to our customers.
CAR DETAILER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and prepare Hertz rental vehicles between rental periods to ensure vehicles are presented in a clean, hygienic and customer-ready condition and in compliance with Hertz company standards and client requests.
- Operate buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other detailing equipment to meet service expectations.
- Clean vehicle body panels, bumpers, trims and other exterior surfaces, removing dirt, dust, road grime and other surface contaminants.
- Apply appropriate cleaning agents to remove stains, dirt, marks and odours from carpets, upholstery and other interior surfaces to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles.
- Clean and polish vehicle windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces to ensure clear visibility and a presentable finish.
- Wash tyres and wheel arches and apply appropriate tyre dressing/blackening products to improve the finished appearance.
- Undertake minor paint and surface touch-ups, cosmetic repairs where required and within the scope of the role, to improve the appearance of minor scratches and imperfections.
- Perform inspections and keeping complete and accurate written records with vehicle
- return paperwork, assessing the vehicle’s condition.
- Adhere to all company Occupational, Health and Safety standards, including wearing
- correct Personal Protective Equipment.
- Store and use all chemicals in a responsible and safe manner and only use as directed.
- Move and park vehicles, delivering vehicles to correct locations or picking owners
- or drivers up if needed.
- Manage inventory and reordering supplies.
- Respond to client inquiries and fulfilling their requests.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education
- A valid West Australian driver’s licence with good driving record.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching,
- bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to comply with all Hertz company policies and uphold standards for service quality.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Salary: $80,000 – $85,000
