ME Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Paediatrician to lead paediatric services at Mount Isa Hospital as Director of Paediatrics. This is a unique opportunity to influence the development and expansion of paediatric care in a diverse and remote region.

About the Role
As Director of Paediatrics, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, outreach services, and emergency retrieval coordination.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists, registrars, and interns.
- Foster teaching, training, and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University.
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
About You
- FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent, with current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for full, unrestricted specialist registration.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions.
- Proven leadership skills, preferably with Head of Department experience.
- Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Ability to work in a regional and remote setting.
