About the role
We're looking for an experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor who enjoys being on the floor, supporting their team and keeping operations running smoothly. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee the daily flow of products through receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch. You'll balance operational priorities with people leadership, ensuring your team delivers safely, accurately and on time.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities and allocate resources to meet operational targets.
- Lead, coach and develop your team, managing attendance, training and performance.
- Champion safe working practices through visible leadership and regular coaching.
- Monitor productivity, resolve operational issues and identify improvements.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and support inventory accuracy.
- Work closely with transport, inventory and administration teams.
- Plan for peak periods and communicate priorities through regular team briefings.
What you'll bring
- Experience supervising a team in a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment.
- A strong understanding of warehouse processes and inventory control.
- A practical leadership style, with the ability to motivate people and set clear expectations.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF scanning.
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to safety and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A forklift licence would be highly regarded.
