Market Risk Analyst (Mandarin Speaking)

The role:
Exciting opportunity for a finance junior with quantitative aptitudes and keen passion for treasury risk management to join an established Corporate & Institutional Bank in a highly collaborative and supportive Risk Management team (2LoD). You will work under the full guidance of the Senior Risk Manager and receive comprehensive training.
Your responsibilities:
- Proactive Risk Monitoring: Ensure market risk, liquidity risk, and IRRBB exposures align with internal policies and limits through real time / intra-day monitoring, daily risk reports, investigations, and regulatory reporting.
- Risk Model Maintenance: Ensure market risk & liquidity risk models are updated to remain robust and adequate.
- Process Enhancements: Maintain and improve risk models, enhance analytical capabilities, support portfolio management, and leverage market research tools like Bloomberg.
- Risk Assessment & Framework: Assess risks for new financial products, recommend appropriate actions to strengthen controls, update risk policies.
- Risk Reporting: Timely reporting to APRA, Head Office and senior management.
- Risk Function Support: Ready to back up other risk areas when required.
What we're looking for in you:
- Degree qualified in Mathematics or Quantitative Finance discipline, with basic risk management knowledge - especially on market & liquidity risks.
- Reasonable understanding of APRA and other regulatory requirements.
- Motivated by continuous learning and development.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VBA & Macros - highly desirable.
- FRM & CFA qualifications - highly desirable but not essential.
- Mandarin Chinese skills (reading, speaking & typing) - essential.
