Senior Civil Engineer - Sydney

This role offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction support, and is ideally suited to an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in subdivision road design and major roadworks.

The position provides the opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute to technical strategy, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, with a strong focus on road design for residential subdivisions, industrial developments, and major road infrastructure works.

Work closely with senior engineers and project managers while also contributing to technical assessments, mentoring junior staff, and supporting project delivery. As the role develops, there is scope to take on greater leadership responsibilities and assist in the development of a high-performing civil design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Civil engineering design across urban development and infrastructure projects
• Detailed road and subdivision design using 12d Model
• Preparation of design documentation and construction drawings
• Stormwater drainage design and flood assessment
• Site inspections and project coordination during delivery phases
• Liaison with councils, authorities, and project stakeholders
• Mentoring and technical support for junior engineers and designers
• Contribution to project planning, design strategies, and technical reviews

Technical Requirements

• Proven experience in civil engineering design within Australia
• Strong capability in 12d Model, particularly road and subdivision design

Demonstrated experience in:

• Road geometry and corridor design
• Residential and industrial subdivisions
• Major road and intersection projects
• Earthworks and site grading
• Stormwater drainage networks
• Utility coordination and service infrastructure
• Ability to independently manage design packages and deliver projects

Experience with one or more of the following highly regarded :

• Drains for stormwater modelling and drainage design
• MUSIC modelling and water quality assessments
• HEC-RAS flood modelling and hydraulic analysis
• OSD and WSUD design
• Civil 3D exposure

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• CPEng or working towards a plus
