The Role
As Care Manager, you’ll lead the clinical team and oversee high-quality, person-centred care within a residential aged care home. You’ll drive clinical governance, compliance and care planning while supporting your team’s development and ensuring residents receive the best possible care. This role suits a hands-on, supportive clinical leader who wants to improve resident outcomes, develop staff and foster a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the clinical team.
- Oversee clinical governance, care planning and resident assessments.
- Monitor clinical risks, incidents and outcomes to improve resident safety.
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act, Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Facility Manager and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families and staff.
About You
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse (essential).
- Clinical leadership experience in residential aged care, ideally as a Care Manager or Clinical Manager.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, the Aged Care Act, Quality Standards and ACQSC requirements.
- Experience managing incidents, clinical risks, audits and quality improvement.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining high care standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a genuine passion for resident wellbeing.
