About the Role
Working with our Host, Australia's leading provider of premium quality, high-performance nutrition solutions from soil to livestock for 70 years you will assist qualified staff in maintenance of machines and other important sections of the business. This includes assembly and disassembly of drag chains with some exposure to minor welding. 

Duties may include:

  • Assisting with machine maintenance and servicing
  • Dismantling and rebuilding mechanical components
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Supporting breakdown repairs and fault-finding activities
  • Learning lathe work and basic machining techniques
  • Gaining exposure to welding and fabrication tasks
  • Following workplace safety procedures and best practices

Location: Lara
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

About You

No previous experience is required. We're looking for someone who is:

  • Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
  • Committed to a 4 stage/year apprenticeship
  • Driver’s License and reliable car (preferably)
  • Passionate about learning a trade
  • Hands-on and practical
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Safety conscious
  • Eager to learn from experienced tradespeople
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
