Maintenance Electrician
- Responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial buildings.
- Conduct fault finding, repairs, and testing of electrical systems.
- Work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
We’re currently recruiting for an established HVAC, Fire & Electrical Maintenance company looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for an A-Grade Electrician who enjoys commercial maintenance, is comfortable working autonomously, and doesn’t mind being on the road across Melbourne.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings, including aged care facilities, ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant and operating efficiently.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs
- RCD testing and Test & Tag
- Generator and UPS testing
- Load balancing and power quality
- Light and power maintenance
- CT metering
- Data and communications
- PLCs and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- Power Factor Correction (PFC)
- Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring works are carried out in line with Australian Standards
- Working both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
About You
We’re looking for an A-Grade Electrician with:
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial electrical maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across commercial facilities
- A current Victorian Electrical Licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Current driver’s licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
