We specialise in residential and commercial construction projects, including new residential houses, townhouses, units, interior fit-outs, renovations, and general building and construction works.

Operating across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas, we are committed to delivering quality workmanship, reliable construction services, and professional project outcomes.

As our business continues to develop and undertake building and renovation projects, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret building plans, specifications, colour schedules and work instructions to determine painting and finishing requirements.
• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and removing old or damaged coatings.
• Apply primers, sealers, undercoats, paints, varnishes, stains and other protective or decorative finishes to various surfaces.
• Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve specified colours, textures and finishes.
• Apply paint and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other appropriate painting equipment.
• Carry out painting works on walls, ceilings, doors, windows, timber structures, plasterboard, concrete and other building surfaces.
• Perform detailed finishing work, including cutting-in, edging, touch-ups and decorative painting where required.
• Protect floors, windows, fixtures, furniture and surrounding areas from paint, dust and other materials during painting operations.
• Inspect completed painting works to identify defects, uneven finishes or other quality issues and undertake necessary rectification.
• Remove or treat deteriorated paint, stains, mould and surface imperfections using appropriate methods and materials.
• Apply waterproofing or protective coatings where appropriate to the painter's trade, product specifications and project requirements.
• Maintain and clean painting tools, spray equipment and other materials to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Estimate material quantities and assist with planning painting activities to minimise waste and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, builders and other tradespeople to ensure painting activities are completed efficiently.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling, storage and disposal of paints, solvents and other hazardous materials.
• Ensure all painting and finishing works meet project specifications, relevant Australian Standards and company quality requirements.

Experience and Skills:

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

·A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional painting experience is required.

·Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial painting, including new construction, renovations and fit-out projects.

·Strong knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, coating systems and finishing methods.

·Experience using brushes, rollers, spray-painting equipment and other relevant trade tools.

·Ability to interpret colour schedules, technical specifications and project instructions.

·Good understanding of Australian construction practices, painting standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

·High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality finishes.

·Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.

·Good communication, organisational and time-management skills.

Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between project sites across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
