The Role
We currently have secondment opportunities within a high profile Commonwealth Department that is seeking lawyers with administrative law and statutory interpretation experience to work on a variety of legal projects.
The Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be required to work as a secondees within the Commonwealth clients’ in-house legal team. High level stakeholder engagement skills are required as the successful candidate will be required to provide advice and assistance to a wide range of client areas.
The successful candidate will provide a variety of legal advice on subjects including:
- statutory interpretation of legislation and sub-ordinate instruments;
- applying administrative law principles to business decisions and advising on process issues; and
- providing advice around the regulatory framework relating to therapeutic goods.
The Requirements
A current practising certificate (or ability to obtain one) and a current (minimum) Baseline security clearance experience is essential.
Previous experience advising on Commonwealth administrative law including on the regulatory framework relating to therapeutic goods would be highly regarded.
