An established motel in Ceduna is seeking experienced Motel Managers to oversee its day-to-day operations.

Salary - $70,000 - $83,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised Motel Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of busy regional motel. You will oversee guest services, reservations, staff, housekeeping, property maintenance and administration, ensuring the motel operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the motel, ensuring efficient and professional service across all areas.

· Oversee guest services, reservations, check-ins and check-outs, payments and guest enquiries.

· Supervise motel staff, including allocating duties, coordinating work schedules and monitoring performance.

· Coordinate housekeeping activities to ensure guest rooms and common areas are clean, well-presented and ready for guests.

· Monitor guest satisfaction and respond professionally to enquiries, requests and complaints.

· Coordinate motel maintenance and repairs to ensure facilities, rooms and equipment are safe, functional and well maintained.

· Liaise with suppliers and contractors, coordinate purchasing and monitor the supply of goods and services required for motel operations.

· Undertake financial and administrative duties, including monitoring expenditure, processing payments, maintaining records and preparing operational reports.

· Monitor motel performance and contribute to the achievement of occupancy, service and broader business targets.

· Ensure motel operations comply with relevant workplace, health and safety requirements and other applicable regulations and procedures.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Hospitality or Diploma in Hospitality Management (or agreed equivalent) is highly desirable.

· Minimum of one year of relevant experience in motel, hotel or accommodation management.

· Demonstrated experience in guest services, reservations and day-to-day accommodation operations.

· Experience supervising staff and coordinating housekeeping and operational activities.

· Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

· Good organisational, administrative and financial management skills.

· Ability to coordinate suppliers, contractors, maintenance and operational requirements.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and respond effectively to operational issues.

· A current Australian driver’s licence is essential.

· Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
