RETAIL MANAGER

Navaro Pty Ltd t/a King of the Pack Weston is a well-established specialist retail

destination offering tobacco products, smoking accessories, giftware and related

merchandise. Backed by the recognised King of the Pack brand, the store is

committed to delivering excellent customer service, maintaining strong product

knowledge and creating a professional, welcoming retail environment for its growing

local customer base.

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead store operations, drive sales

performance, manage staff and deliver outstanding customer service.

Location: Weston, ACT

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience)

Duties will include but not limited to:

 Manage the day-to-day operations of the King of the Pack retail store,

ensuring efficient trading, strong customer service and smooth store

performance.

 Determine suitable product ranges across tobacco products, smoking

accessories, giftware and related retail merchandise based on customer

demand and sales trends.

 Manage stock purchasing, replenishment and supplier orders to maintain

appropriate inventory levels and minimise stock shortages or excess holdings.

 Monitor stock movements, conduct regular inventory checks and implement

controls to reduce discrepancies, shrinkage, theft and product losses.

 Decide product mix, discounts/specials on product pricing, in-store displays,

promotional material and merchandising standards in line with business and

franchise requirements.

 Analyse sales results, product performance and customer purchasing patterns

to identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.

 Prepare and monitor store budgets, operating expenses, sales targets and

other financial performance indicators.

 Maintain accurate records relating to daily sales, purchases, stock levels,

supplier transactions, expenses and other store financial activities.

 Recruit, motivate, roster, train and oversee performance of retail staff,

ensuring employees understand customer service expectations, store

procedures and product requirements.

 Establish and maintain high customer service standards and resolve

escalated enquiries, complaints and product-related concerns.

 Coordinate local promotions, seasonal campaigns and merchandising

activities to increase customer engagement and support store sales.

 Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety, security

procedures, age-restricted sales requirements and other regulations

applicable to tobacco and specialist retail operations.

Requirements

 Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial role in a retail business.

 Minimum Diploma in Business, Hospitality, Management, or a related field is

preferred.

 Proven at least two years of Australian experience in managing a retail store

with high customer footfall

Skills:

 Strong leadership, communication and customer service abilities.

 Proven ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

 Flexibility to work weekends and varied retail hours.

 Sound financial awareness and commercial understanding.

 Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to motivate, coach and develop retail teams.

 Knowledge of Australian WHS and workplace safety requirements.
