Food Production Operator

Horner Recruitment is supporting a food manufacturer in Heatherton as they expand their production team. The company specialises in food ingredient solutions, including dry blending, functional ingredient systems, seasonings, cures, premixes, and contract blending for the food manufacturing industry.

We are seeking experienced Production Workers with strong blending or compounding experience to support increased production demand in a quality focused manufacturing environment.

• Ongoing roles / temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidates
• Day and afternoon shift options, Monday to Friday, 38 hours a week
• Work with a food production manufacturer with state of the art blending facilities

Key Duties

• Blending and compounding dry food ingredients, functional blends, seasonings, cures, and premixes according to production requirements
• Operating heavy machineries such as mixers, blenders, automated packaging and bagging machineries safely and accurately
• Following recipe specifications, batch sheets, allergen controls, food safety procedures, and quality standards
• Completing general production duties, housekeeping, cleaning, and documentation in line with manufacturing requirements

About You

• Previous blending or compounding experience (essential), ideally within food ingredient, seasoning, premix, bakery, meat, dairy, or dry goods manufacturing
• Confident reading complex recipes, batch sheets, and product specifications with a strong eye for detail
• Able to accurately weigh, measure, mix, and record ingredients in a fast paced production environment
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling up to 25kg - essential
• Reliable, punctual, safety focused, and committed to hygiene, quality, and allergen control procedures
• Full working rights - available to work 38 hours a week
