Are you a Law Graduate looking to build your career in an in-house legal environment?
Our client, a broker-centric specialist underwriting agency, is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Risk & Compliance Officer to join its Legal team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Law Graduate who wants to apply their legal knowledge in a commercial setting and gain hands-on exposure to risk, compliance and regulatory matters within the General Insurance industry.
Working closely with the Legal team and stakeholders across the business, you’ll gain valuable insight into how legal and regulatory requirements are applied in practice, while developing the skills and experience to support your longer-term career aspirations.
About the Role. You’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of activities, including:
- Assisting with risk and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Supporting risk assessments, control testing and compliance reviews.
- Contributing to compliance reporting
- Researching regulatory requirements and assisting with compliance-related matters.
- Working with senior stakeholders and supporting the Risk & Compliance Committee.
About You We’re keen to hear from someone who has:
- A Law degree, with an interest in developing a career in-house.
- Some exposure to General Insurance
- A genuine interest in risk, compliance and the regulatory environment.
- Strong research, analytical and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- The confidence to build relationships and work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
- A commercial mindset and an interest in how a General Insurance business operates.
