Medical Receptionist – Casual
We are seeking a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Port Macquarie – Lord Street clinic on a casual basis.
This is a casual position with the potential to lead to a permanent part-time opportunity for the right candidate. Please note that a permanent part-time position is not guaranteed and will be subject to business needs and performance.
The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday to Friday, across shifts between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
- Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling enquiries professionally.
- Advising patients of preparation requirements prior to relevant scans.
- Processing billing procedures, including private, Medicare, Workers Compensation and DVA.
- Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists and referrers.
What we’re looking for:
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
- Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
- Previous experience in medical reception.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
