You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance and compliance of the portfolio while also looking ahead — identifying opportunities to improve asset condition, reduce risk, manage costs and ensure facilities continue to meet the organisation’s future needs.
The Role Working closely with senior management and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day facilities and maintenance requirements across the portfolio
- Developing and overseeing planned and preventative maintenance programs
- Managing contractors, suppliers and external service providers
- Monitoring contractor performance, SLAs, quality and value for money
- Managing reactive maintenance and ensuring issues are resolved effectively
- Supporting annual operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Coordinating CAPEX works, refurbishments, upgrades and fit-out projects
- Contributing to asset lifecycle planning and forward maintenance programs
- Maintaining accurate asset, maintenance and compliance records
- Ensuring facilities meet WHS, essential services and relevant regulatory requirements
- Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and external partners
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, service delivery and overall asset performance
About You You’ll be an experienced facilities professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and building strong relationships.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management, property operations or a similar environment
- Strong planned and reactive maintenance experience
- Proven contractor and supplier management capability
- Experience managing facilities budgets and controlling expenditure
- Exposure to CAPEX, refurbishment, fit-out or asset upgrade projects
- An understanding of asset lifecycle and preventative maintenance planning
- Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance and risk management
- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple sites, projects and competing priorities
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
