Mobile Plant Mechanic

Seeking an experienced mobile plant mechanic to work in an ongoing role immediately.

Your new company
Hays Trades and Labour are partnering with a leading organisation who specialise in a wide range of high-quality quarry products. Producing and delivering high quality crushed rock at both quarry sites. They are looking for a skilled, qualified mechanic to join the team in Melbourne's western suburbs.
Your new role

Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of mobile plant equipment Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Repairs, rebuilds and component replacement work Conducting inspections and identifying maintenance requirements Maintaining service records and documentation Working closely with operations teams to minimise downtime Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards

What you'll need to succeed
Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology or similar mechanical tradePrevious experience working on earthmoving, quarry, mining or heavy mobile equipmentStrong diagnostic and fault-finding abilitiesExperience with hydraulic systems and heavy machinery maintenanceCommitment to workplace safetyAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamValid HR licence
