Your new company
Hays is currently partnering with a range of leading contractors, councils and open space maintenance providers across Melbourne. Due to ongoing demand, we are looking to connect with experienced gardening and grounds maintenance professionals interested in upcoming opportunities across the metropolitan area. Whether you're an experienced Gardener, Mower Operator, Grounds Maintenance Worker or Open Space Labourer, we'd like to hear from you.
Your new role
Opportunities may include:
- Mowing and maintenance of parks, reserves and sports grounds
- Brush cutting and whipper snipping
- Garden bed maintenance and mulching
- Weed control and site presentation
- Pruning, planting and general horticultural tasks
- Litter collection and path maintenance
- Operating ride-on mowers and small plant equipment
- General labouring and open space maintenance duties
What you'll need to succeedTo be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in parks, gardens, landscaping or grounds maintenance
- Experience using mowers, brush cutters and other horticultural equipment
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
- The ability to work both independently and within a team
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
- A focus on safety and quality workmanship
Desirable but not essential
- Certificate II or III in Horticulture
- Chemical Users Certificate
- MR Truck Licence
- Chainsaw or relevant plant operation experience
