Troocoo is partnering with a well-respected, purpose-driven Queensland insurer to appoint experienced manager into its claims function. The business is investing in its people and in a significant transformation, which makes this an ideal time to join and help shape what comes next.
The role
You’ll lead a team of five to six Claims Leaders within a liability-focused claims area. Your leaders already bring strong technical expertise, so your focus is on leadership: lifting their capability, building a high-performing culture and helping them lead their own teams confidently through change. You’ll also engage directly with employers and contribute to strategy across the claims function.

- Coaching and developing your Claims Leaders so they can get the best from their teams
- Translating business decisions into clear direction your leaders can take back to their teams
- Leading through change with empathy, while keeping your teams focused on performance and outcomes
- Building trusted relationships with employers and key stakeholders
- Using data and insights to drive performance and identify where to focus next
- Working alongside a collaborative senior leadership group that genuinely backs each other
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an established leader of leaders. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading team leaders or managers, ideally across multiple teams
- A background in workers compensation, personal injury, liability or claims management within a large insurer, scheme or organisation (government backgrounds with strong commercial exposure will also be considered)
- A track record of leading teams through significant change and managing change fatigue
- A commercial, performance-focused mindset, balanced with genuine empathy for your people and customers
- Confidence engaging with employers and senior stakeholders
