About the Position
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join a well established, multi site operation in Canberra. You will play a key hands-on leadership role across the front of house, ensuring high service standards, motivating your team and delivering an outstanding guest experience. Working across multiple locations, you will support daily operations, coach staff and help maintain the quality and consistency the brand is known for. Ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
Position Description
- Lead and supervise front of house teams across busy cafe service periods
- Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service and product presentation
- Conduct pre shift briefings and maintain clear communication with the team
- Support rostering, labour management and day to day shift coordination
- Coach, train and develop team members to uphold high operational standards
- Monitor cafe presentation, cleanliness and compliance with food safety and WHS requirements
- Assist with cash handling, daily reporting and basic operational administration
- Work collaboratively with bakery and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service
- Contribute to a positive team culture across multiple Canberra locations
Position Requirements
- Previous experience as a cafe Supervisor, Senior Barista/Supervisor or similar in a busy cafe or hospitality environment
- Strong understanding of cafe operations, coffee service and high-volume front of house service
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team while maintaining high standards
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during busy service periods
- Current RSA essential (food safety knowledge highly regarded)
- Flexibility to work across multiple Canberra locations and a rotating roster (including early mornings and weekends)
- Reliable transport preferred due to multi-site requirements
Salary & Benefits
