About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist within our ICU, you will provide expert clinical care and leadership, support patient outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will act as a clinical resource for nursing staff, mentor team members, and contribute to evidence-based practice within the unit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering advanced, patient-centred care to critically ill patients
- Providing clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing colleagues
- Promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
- Assisting with staff education, coaching, and professional development
- Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Supporting a positive, safe, and high-performing team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 4 years' post-graduate nursing experience, including significant ICU experience
- Postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing (or working towards)
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in intensive care nursing
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
