The store offers a range of fresh food, beverages and related retail products to customers at DFO Eastern Creek. Operating in a high-volume outlet retail environment, the store serves a diverse customer base and operates in accordance with Soul Origin franchise systems, operational procedures and brand standards.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Retail Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales performance, and maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a dynamic professional with strong retail operations, commercial and people management skills, with responsibility for store performance, stock control, staffing, budgeting and profitability.

Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

·Manage and oversee the day-to-day retail operations of the store, ensuring efficient service, product availability and adherence to brand standards.

·Monitor inventory levels, control stock and coordinate purchasing of products, supplies and other store requirements to maintain appropriate stock levels and optimise cost efficiency.

·Monitor sales performance, analyse sales trends and implement strategies to achieve revenue, profitability and business performance targets.

·Prepare and manage store budgets, control operational and labour costs, and contribute to sales forecasting and financial planning.

·Recruit, train, supervise and roster staff, allocate responsibilities and monitor staff performance to maintain effective store operations.

·Ensure high standards of customer service by responding to feedback, resolving complaints and implementing measures to enhance the overall customer experience.

·Determine and implement pricing, promotional and merchandising strategies in accordance with business objectives and brand requirements.

·Oversee Point of Sale (POS), financial transactions and daily banking procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

·Liaise with suppliers, centre management and internal stakeholders regarding purchasing, stock requirements and store operational matters.

Qualifications & Skills

·Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field.

·Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a retail, food service, or fast-paced service management role.

·Strong leadership and team management capabilities in a high-volume environment.

·Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive sales performance.

·Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

·Sound knowledge of inventory control, rostering, and retail operations.

·Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
