About the Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service. This hands-on position offers plenty of variety, technical problem-solving, and the opportunity to work with modern heavy vehicle systems and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Repair and replace components including engines, driveline, suspension, braking, and steering systems
- Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maximise fleet reliability and availability
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- Experience working as a Diesel Mechanic within heavy vehicle, bus, truck, or transport environments
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience using modern workshop tooling and diagnostic systems
- A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail
- A current driver's licence (MR or HR licence highly regarded)
