We’re seeking experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurses to join our client, a leading public hospital in Melbourne,
With newly created positions following an expansion of newborn services, this is an opportunity to develop your neonatal nursing career within a modern, well-supported department.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll provide specialist care to premature and critically unwell newborns, working closely with a multidisciplinary team and supporting families throughout their babies’ treatment.
The department cares for nearly 2,000 admissions each year across 36 beds, including 18 NICU and high-dependency beds and 18 special care nursery suites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering evidence-based, family-centred neonatal care.
  • Undertaking clinical assessments, recognising deterioration and supporting critical interventions.
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans.
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary teamwork and continuous quality improvement.

WHAT'S ON OFFER?

  • $86,819.20–$102,585.60 per year, plus allowances and superannuation, depending on experience.

ABOUT YOU

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or eligibility to obtain registration for international applicants.
  • At least 12–24 months of high-acuity NICU experience.
  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and a commitment to safe, compassionate care.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for supporting newborns and their families.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care is highly regarded.
