Known for its extensive product offering and commitment to customer service, the organisation operates within a highly competitive retail environment and continues to invest in the growth and performance of its store network.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead the South Melbourne store. This location presents significant opportunity for a commercially minded leader looking to make a tangible impact by driving sales, developing a high-performing team and creating an engaging customer experience.

Your new role
Reporting to the National Sales & Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day operations and commercial success of the South Melbourne store.
Leading a team of full-time, part-time and casual staff, you'll be responsible for driving sales performance, maintaining high merchandising standards and building a positive team culture focused on delivering outstanding customer service.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of retail professionals
  • Driving store sales performance and achieving monthly revenue targets
  • Managing rostering, scheduling and day-to-day team performance
  • Creating and implementing local initiatives to improve customer engagement and store traffic
  • Managing merchandising standards across an extensive range of more than 2,000 items
  • Overseeing stock replenishment, inventory presentation and store operations
  • Preparing and managing quotes for higher-value customer purchases
  • Analysing store performance and implementing strategies to improve sales results
  • Building a vibrant, customer-focused culture that motivates and inspires the team

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced retail leader with a proven track record of driving sales performance within a high-volume retail environment.
You will bring:

  • Previous experience managing a retail store
  • A demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Strong leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing teams
  • Strong merchandising capabilities, including store layouts, product presentation and stock control
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities to improve store performance
  • Experience preparing quotes and managing higher-value sales opportunities (Desirable)
  • A hands-on, energetic leadership style with a passion for customer service and team development
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

What you'll get in return

  • Salary package up to $85,000 + Super
  • Monthly commission structure with realistic additional earnings of $15,000-$20,000 per annum
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Monday to Friday 95 (No weekends)
