Your new role
Working within a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of heavy rail and industrial equipment. You'll work alongside an experienced team to ensure machinery and components are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and overhauls on heavy equipment and components
• Diagnose faults and undertake corrective maintenance activities
• Read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
• Previous experience working within heavy industry, rail, manufacturing, mining, or similar environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
