Your new role
This 6-month temporary contract offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact as a Health & Safety Advisor. Working across manufacturing, operational and corporate environments, you will partner with leaders and employees to strengthen workplace safety practices, enhance risk management processes and support a positive safety culture.
Your responsibilities will include providing practical WHS advice, conducting risk assessments, supporting incident investigations, analysing safety data and trends, maintaining risk registers, and contributing to the ongoing development of safety systems and procedures. You will also deliver training, coach leaders on their WHS responsibilities and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

This is a hands-on role that will see you regularly engaging with employees and leaders to identify opportunities to improve safety outcomes and workplace wellbeing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related field
  • Previous experience in a WHS Advisor, Health & Safety Advisor or similar position
  • Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and contemporary safety practices
  • Experience supporting risk assessments, hazard management and incident investigations
  • Ability to influence, coach and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk prevention
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, medical devices or another regulated environment will be highly regarded
  • Exposure to ISO 45001 or similar Health & Safety management frameworks is advantageous
