Your new role
As the Digital User Experience Designer, you will lead the design and continuous improvement of customer and employee experiences across web, mobile and other digital platforms.Working closely with product owners, technology teams and business stakeholders, you will:
- Champion user-centred design and ensure the customer perspective remains central to digital initiatives.
- Plan and facilitate user research, usability testing, contextual inquiries, focus groups and stakeholder workshops.
- Create user journeys, personas, wireframes, prototypes, information architecture and content strategies.
- Translate user experience designs into final user interface designs.
- Conduct heuristic reviews to identify usability issues and improvement opportunities.
- Use customer feedback, research, testing and performance data to improve digital products and services.
- Design inclusive experiences that meet web, mobile, accessibility and brand standards, including WCAG 2.0 AA.
- Establish meaningful measures to demonstrate improvements in user experience.
- Maintain clear project documentation using Confluence.
- Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience as a User Experience Designer across digital products and platforms, including web, mobile, BPM and CRM. Youll also need;
- Experience delivering significant digital customer experience initiatives involving consultation, engagement and organisational change.
- Strong capability in user research, usability testing and workshop facilitation.
- Experience developing wireframes, personas, behavioural specifications and prototype concepts.
- Knowledge of responsive design methods and product design.
- Experience using visual design and prototyping tools.
- Practical experience with Jira and Confluence.
- The ability to translate user experience concepts into final user interface designs.
- An understanding of agile, scrum and continuous improvement approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
