POSITION PURPOSE 
As Assistant Store Manager you are responsible for effectively supporting the Store Manager 
in driving overall store and team performance by creating an exceptional customer 
experience, strong sales driving attitude, and a people first culture that prioritises succession 
and retention. 
As an Assistant Store manager, you will:
PEOPLE
• Create and maintain a people first culture that values development, collaboration, 
transparency, and open communication.
• Lead, coach and support the store team to achieve people, performance, planning, and 
operational goals.
• Provide regular and effective feedback that prioritises professional development and 
internal progression in a professional and people first manner.
PERFORMANCE 
• Ensure team are delivering an exceptional customer experience using CLASS sale 
selling steps and relevant customer service techniques.
• Drive and maintain sales performance within the store in line with retail goals, budgets
and KPIs.
• Support the Store Manager to plan and execute VM guides to the VM guideline standard.
• Conduct effective weekly store walks with the Store Manager to discuss store and team 
opportunities and develop actions.
• Primary point of contact and manager on duty on Store Manager’s RDO and Annual 
Leave
