About Anowah
For almost 60 years, Anowah has supported adults with disability to live with dignity, choice and belonging.
A family-founded, registered NDIS provider based in South West Sydney, Anowah provides a range of services including Supported Independent Living and other Home & Living options, centre and community-based programs and Support Coordination. At the heart of Anowah is a commitment to putting people first and ensuring the people it supports have genuine choice and control over their lives.
As the disability sector continues to evolve, Anowah is looking to further strengthen the capability and diversity of its Board and is seeking experienced professionals who share its commitment to good governance and positive outcomes for people with disability.
Who we are looking for We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with senior-level experience in either:
People & Culture / Human Resources
You may bring experience across areas such as:
- workforce strategy and planning
- organisational development and culture
- employee and industrial relations
- workforce risk and compliance
- leadership and capability development
- workforce transformation and change.
Legal
You may bring experience across areas such as:
- corporate and commercial law
- employment and workplace relations
- governance and regulatory matters
- risk and compliance
- contracts and commercial arrangements
- experience within regulated or human services environments.
Previous Board experience would be welcomed but is not essential. This could also be an opportunity for an experienced executive or professional looking to make a meaningful contribution at Board level.
Experience within disability, NDIS or Community Services would be beneficial, but equally we are interested in people who can bring a different perspective and relevant expertise from other sectors.
The opportunity As a Non-Executive Director, you will work alongside fellow Board members and the executive team to provide strategic oversight, sound governance and constructive challenge as Anowah continues to evolve.
We are looking for Directors who will be actively engaged – people who are prepared to ask good questions, contribute their expertise and work collaboratively while always keeping the people Anowah supports at the centre of decision-making.
Most importantly, you will share Anowah's commitment to empowering adults with disability to live with dignity, choice and belonging – every day, for life.
