The Role
As a Joinery Draftsman, you'll work closely with project managers, estimators, production teams and installers to produce accurate manufacturing drawings and documentation for custom joinery projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Prepare cutting lists, CNC-ready files and production information.
- Interpret architectural and construction drawings.
- Liaise with clients, architects, designers and internal production teams.
- Ensure drawings comply with Australian standards and project specifications.
- Assist with project coordination from design through to manufacture.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Joinery Draftsman within the cabinet making/joinery industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial and/or residential joinery construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Experience with one or more of the following is highly regarded:
- Cabinet Vision
- Microvellum
- Mozaik
- AutoCAD
