SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER €“ DATA & ANALYTICS TRANSFORMATION

Our client, a much loved and highly regarded organisaion that spans New South Wales, is seeking a Senior Project Manager. Based in Sydney Olympic Park, this role requires an experienced professional to lead two pivotal data projects that shape the organisation's future operational capabilities.
The successful candidate will spearhead the refinement and implementation of a Unified Data Management Framework, establishing governance structures and driving enterprise-wide adoption to enhance data maturity. They will then also look to leverage the new data frameworkto ensure aligning resource is well aligned risk & needs, through advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities.
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of three days onsite, running on a 6 month contract. It is ideal for a project manager passionate about data, adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments, and experienced in bridging business requirements with technical delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, governance, and delivery of complex data and analytics projects.
- Develop project roadmaps, business cases, and executive reports.
- Engage with senior executives and operational leaders to capture requirements and secure alignment.
- Translate business needs into clear project outcomes and delivery plans.
- Partner with ICT teams and subject matter experts to ensure solution effectiveness.
- Manage budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies with rigorous reporting.
- Drive organisational change, adoption, and readiness activities.
- Establish effective governance and decision-making forums.
- Deliver measurable business value aligned with strategic goals.
About You:
- Extensive experience managing enterprise data, analytics, or information management initiatives.
- Strong skills in project management across strategy, design, and delivery phases.
- Proven ability to create structure and momentum within emerging or low-maturity environments.
- Experience developing governance frameworks, operating models, and business transformations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication, engaging from frontline staff to executives.
- Passionate about data with strategic thinking and practical execution capabilities.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance, master data management, and data strategy.
- Understanding of modern data platforms, reporting tools, and information management principles.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
- Experience collaborating with enterprise architects and solution design teams.
- Background in government, or large operational organisations is a plus.
