.An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Midwife to join the Birth Unit of a leading private maternity hospital located in Sydney. This highly regarded facility supports over 1,600 births each year and is known for delivering exceptional maternity care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic birth suite alongside a dedicated team of midwives, obstetricians, and neonatologists while contributing to outstanding outcomes for mothers and their families.

- Salary: $39.09 – $54.89 per hour

About the Role
As a Registered Midwife, you will provide evidence-based, patient-centred maternity care while supporting women and their families throughout their birthing journey. The position includes rotational exposure across the Birth Unit, Post-Natal Wards, and Special Care Nursery, ensuring a diverse and engaging clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care
- Provide an exceptional patient experience for mothers and families
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Promote patient and staff safety in line with best practice standards
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs)
- Provide education and support to mothers and their families

Essential Criteria
- Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Demonstrated experience in a similar midwifery role
- Special Care Nursery experience (advantageous)
- Understanding of ACQSHC National Standards
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination (Category A Healthcare worker)
- Basic computer skills
