Job Description

This role offers a broad mix of technical tax, compliance, reporting and stakeholder management responsibilities, including:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate direct and indirect tax compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with internal teams and external advisers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, advisers and finance stakeholders while supporting tax audits, reviews and governance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, reviewing workpapers, compliance deliverables and supporting knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Support business-critical projects including acquisitions, restructures, process improvement initiatives and the enhancement of tax controls and governance frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will be a technically strong tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multinational environment and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business.

  • CA/CPA and/or CTA qualified, with proven experience in corporate tax, tax reporting and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian income tax, GST and international tax principles.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing tax effect accounting, tax provisions and statutory tax disclosures.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Commercial and external advisory teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent analytical skills.

What's on Offer

  • Annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 AUD + super.
  • 9 months contract based in the Sydney CBD
  • 2 days a week in the office.
