Forklift Operator / General Hand - Yatala | $33.21/hr
Our client, a leading multinational beverage company based in Yatala, is seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Operator / General Hand to join their team. This role is based in a warehouse environment focused on water gallon distribution. While forklift operation is part of the role, it also involves a variety of general warehouse duties, making it ideal for someone who is hands-on and flexible. This is a great opportunity to work with a globally recognised brand, with potential to transition into a permanent position.
Position Details:
- Location: Yatala
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 12:00pm - 6:00pm (6 hours per day)
- Pay Rate: $33.21 per hour
- Licence Required: MR Driver's Licence + valid Forklift Licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently within the warehouse (high reach not required)
- Load and unload trucks and stage racking (approx. 7 trucks daily, 6-8 bay size)
- Conduct afternoon truck safety checks upon driver return
- Assist with occasional manual handling (15L bottles)
- Wash and clean trucks (interior and exterior) at a local carwash
- Unload semi-trailers and B-doubles (1-3 per week)
- Stock fridges with drinks for onsite staff daily
- Check and refill water coolers as required
- Sweep warehouse floors using a mechanical sweeper
- Assist production team with cooler refurbishments when needed
- Put-away, replenishment, and stock movement within the warehouse
- Pick, wrap, and prepare orders for distribution
- Conduct pre-start forklift checks and report maintenance issues
- Follow all WHS, safety procedures, and SOPs
- Perform general warehouse duties to support operations
About You:
- Valid Forklift Licence and MR Driver's Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse / general hand role
- Comfortable performing a mix of forklift and manual tasks
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
