Bitu-mill is BildGroup's road surfacing and profiling business. High volume, dispersed crews, night work on live roads, and a footprint that runs well beyond Victoria. This role is the embedded safety partner for that business, working alongside the General Manager and operational leaders, based at Campbellfield with regular travel across our states of operation.At BildGroup, we believe in helping you thrive, in your career, your passions, and your purpose. What you will be doing

• Partner directly with the General Manager, Bitu-mill, providing frank safety intelligence and a weekly update that says what the business needs to act on
• Work as an embedded business partner across every state we operate in, so the safety picture reflects the whole operation rather than just Victoria
• Identify hazards, verify that controls are working on the ground, and follow issues through until they are resolved
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions, and push the learnings across crews and states so the same thing does not happen twice
• Build hazard identification and safety leadership capability in operational managers so they can lead safety in their own areas

What you will need

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or higher
• HSE advisory experience in a services, maintenance or heavy industry environment, ideally across multiple sites
• Experience leading incident investigations and managing corrective actions through to close-out
• Experience developing and reviewing SWMS for high-risk work, and managing subcontractor HSE compliance
• Current driver licence, and a current First Aid and CPR certificate or the ability to obtain one

Useful, but not essential
Diploma of Work Health and Safety or higher, OFSC experience, ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 familiarity, Donesafe or a similar platform, injury management and return to work experience, or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
