The Opportunity
We are seeking an Engineering Data Management Officer to maintain and manage Engineering Technical Records for Fremantle Ports' Inner and Outer Harbour assets.
Supporting the full asset lifecycle, you will be responsible for maintaining engineering drawings, digital models, technical documentation and archival records while ensuring information remains accurate, accessible and compliant. You will work closely with engineers, project teams, operational stakeholders and records management specialists to support business-critical engineering information and drive continuous improvement in data management practices.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- Maintain engineering drawings, design models, project files and technical documentation registers.
- Manage document registration and retrieval activities within Content Manager.
- Digitise and maintain historical engineering records and drawing archives.
- Provide technical information and documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support data governance, metadata management and engineering data quality initiatives.
- Assist with engineering document revision control and document numbering processes.
- Support information requests for projects, planning activities, operations, maintenance and external parties.
- Contribute to improvements in engineering data management systems and processes.
The Expertise You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a records and/or data management role.
- Experience working with engineering documentation, technical records or asset information systems.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience with databases and spreadsheet applications.
- Understanding of records management principles and document control processes.
- Knowledge of BIM, GIS, asset management systems or digital engineering environments will be highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
