Post Placement Support Officer – Placement Specialist | Employment Services

No Employment Services Experience? No Problem. We're Looking for a Confident Communicator Who Loves Getting Results!

At MADEC, we believe that skills can be taught, but passion, initiative and the ability to connect with people come naturally.

We're looking for a proactive, organised and engaging individual to join our Post Placement Support Team in a specialised role. If you enjoy talking to people, building relationships, solving problems and getting things over the line, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for!

Why This Role?

Imagine being the person who helps turn someone's new job into a lasting employment success story.

Every day, participants secure employment through their own hard work and determination. Your job is to make sure those successes are recognised, recorded and connected to the right support.

As our Post Placement Support Officer – Placement Specialist, you'll play a vital role in connecting with employers, confirming Job Starts and ensuring participants receive the ongoing support they need to succeed in their new jobs.

At MADEC, our purpose is simple:

You do not need previous Employment Services experience to succeed in this role, as we want people, not just experience. We're looking for someone who is confident picking up the phone, comfortable having conversations with employers and motivated to follow things through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

This isn't your traditional Post Placement Support Officer role!

As our Placement Specialist, your focus will be on identifying, confirming and recording employment placements for participants who have found their own jobs, while creating a positive first connection with their employers.

Your role will include:

  • Proactively contacting participants and their employers to confirm Job Start details
  • Building positive relationships with employers and connecting them to MADEC's Post Placement Support service.
  • Ensuring employment placements are accurately recorded and anchored in our systems.
  • Introducing participants to the support available to help them settle into and maintain employment.
  • Coordinating a smooth handover to the relevant Post Placement Support Officer for ongoing support.
  • Working collaboratively with Job Coaches and the broader Provider Payments Team to maximise employment opportunities and outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring processes meet relevant program and compliance requirements.

Great Benefits

  • Salary Packaging up to $15,900 per year
  • Tax-free entertainment packaging benefits
  • Additional personal leave options
  • Paid volunteer and charity leave
  • Up to five weeks annual leave after qualifying service
  • Professional development and learning opportunities

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Loves talking to people and can quickly build rapport over the phone.
  • Is confident and persistent, comfortable following up conversations and getting the information needed.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and understands the importance of getting things right.
  • Is organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Is results driven, enjoys achieving targets and takes pride in completing tasks.
  • Is confident with technology, administrative systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Has a solutions focused attitude, approaching challenges with initiative and enthusiasm.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes ownership of their work and understands that every confirmed placement represents a participant's employment success.

  • Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
  • Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check
