About the Opportunity
A doctor owned and operated bulk billing clinic in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne is needing to replace one VR GP who has moved overseas, and another who has moved to the other side of town. Established 10 years ago in a rapidly growing area less than an hour away from the Melbourne CBD and Geelong, the clinic services a very diverse patient demographic of varying ethnicity consisting of many young families from the region's new property developments. Open all day 7 days a week with extended weekday trading hours the practice features a multicultural team of medical and allied healthcare professionals with 7 consulting rooms, a multi-bed treatment room, onsite pharmacy, pathology and nursing assistance. Range of services available here include skin cancer checks and procedures, health assessments, sports injuries, vaccinations, shared antenatal care services, dressings, heart and lung function tests, pre-employment medicals/workcover, pain management, mental health, nutrition, foot care and the local retirement village. The practice is affiliated with the Melbourne Sexual Health Clinic and is involved in high school Sexual Health programs hence GPs with special interests in Sexual Health will have the opportunity to take up a back-up/support role in this space, and GPs who wish to pursue other specialised areas of interest will be actively promoted and supported in their area of practice. You will be generously remunerated with a minimum guaranteed hourly rate for the initial period, and will have the capacity to see up to 6 patients an hour if you wish. Essential Criteria:
- MBBS or equivalent
- Must have a current and valid AHPRA GENERAL /SPECIALIST registration
- FRACGP qualified
- Good Team Player
