We invite expressions of interest from experienced, committed and fully registered kindergarten teachers.
If you meet our criteria we will hold your details and send you email alerts when we have vacancies.
With 30+ sessional kindergartens and 4 long day centres across the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne, we are big enough to offer career stability, flexibility and progression AND small enough to know you as an individual. We are proudly a not-for-profit organisation working closely with the local communities, the local government authorities and the Victorian Department of Education.

We want to meet you:
- Do you have at least three full years of experience as an Early Childhood Teacher?
- Do you have full VIT registration?
- Do you have great references?
- Are you skilled and passionate to support the inclusion of children with additional needs?
- Do you have the skills to role model excellence in teaching – scaffolding and documenting children’s learning in play based, child led pedagogy?
- Do people describe you as child-centred, dependable, confident, competent, positive and energetic?
- Does your philosophy and practice include child led learning and inside/outside activity?
We are NOT able to accept expressions of interest from early career and/or provisionally registered teachers. Vacancies suitable for early career teachers will be filled by current Sparkways staff.

VECTEA Terms & Conditions
- VECTEA salary rates for teachers with 3 to 5 years of experience are $50 to $54 per hour,
- 10 weeks of paid leave each year over the term breaks
