We are currently seeking experienced an Occupational Therapist to provide support to our residents at Bethanie Fields, Dalyellup and Elanora.

This role is offered on a Casual Basis.

Renumeration: $45.64 - $62.12 per hour + Casual Loading.

The Role

• Complete therapy assessments and respond to clinical referrals.
• Plan and implement individual or group therapeutic activities, whilst working with an interdisciplinary team to maintain an effective referral system and coordinate therapy implementation.
• Direct and coordinate Therapy Assistants.
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and information systems.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary program of continuous improvement.
• Incorporate aged care quality standards into all services.

• Synthesise information, through observation and written documentation, to provide recommendations that are relationship centred and informed by evidence based best practice.
• Undertake a range of assessments that help to understand the holistic experience of the person.

About You

• Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
• Relevant experience in an aged care environment or supporting people living with dementia is an advantage.
• Be relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels.
• High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast changing priorities and environments.
• Demonstrates effective communication, strong verbal and written skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
